The starting point for anyone thinking about fostering is to ask themselves the question: 'do I have the room in my life and home for a child?' However, you'll quickly find that you have a significant professional role to play alongside us in helping children to adjust well to the circumstances they find themselves in and prepare for their future.
Aside from personal warmth and a genuine desire to help children, you'll need excellent communication skills and the confidence to speak up on behalf of the children you foster.
